Online courses, with their unique features of personalization, flexibility and globalization, have contributed to the profound change of modern education and teaching modes, making online education develop in the direction of more advanced, more efficient and more digitalized, describing the current status of the use of online courses in the digital context; and understanding how TAM is widely used in online courses; in order to present the application of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in the field of online education, the article uses the "Web of Science" database as the data source, and searches 152 articles published from 2004 to 2024 on hot topics and technology acceptance (TAM) research. In order to visualize the application of technology acceptance model (TAM) in the field of online education, the article takes the "Web of Science" database as the data source, and searches the 152 hot topics and frontiers of research on online courses and technology acceptance (TAM) published in 2004-2024 with the help of CiteSpace software. The related literature since 2004 was sorted out and visualized from eight perspectives: annual publications, authors, journals, countries, research hotspots, research themes, emergent words, and time zone maps. This study explores how online courses change students' access to knowledge and change the paradigm of education; in addition to the interpretation of the technology acceptance model and its expanded model theory respectively; and there is also an analysis of the development trend of technology acceptance in the field of education. The results of the study show that the prospect of technology acceptance (TAM) in the field of digital education is proposed on this basis, and the impact of technology acceptance theory on the concept of education is understood. Finally, schools need to pay more attention to the research of online course design, technical support and user experience to further promote the change of digital education.
